Father and Daughter Thrown Through a DMV Window After Car Drives Onto Sidewalk and Collides With Them
After five days of trial in Marin County, Skip Walker and Clarissa Kearns settled a personal injury suit against the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) for $2,000,000. Our clients in Pantoja v Estrada, et al. were a father and daughter who, during COVID, were told by DMV personnel to stand on a marked spot outside the DMV facility and directly between a handicap parking space and an untempered glass window. A customer attempting to park pressed the accelerator of her car rather than the brake and drove into our clients, sending them crashing through the window.
