Managing Partner Walter “Skip” Walker Profiled by Super Lawyers
Accompanying the publication of the Northern California Super Lawyers annual list are a number of attorney profiles that share interesting stories from the legal community. In the 2024 edition, the publication profiles our very own Skip Walker.
In addition to being an accomplished lawyer with a number of high-profile wins to his credit, he is also a published author with six novels under his belt and another one in the works.
The Super Lawyers profile, which is entitled “Unwritten,” explores Skip’s literary interest in the concept of moral ambiguity, a theme that runs through his novels. But that fascination doesn’t extend to his work for clients. As Skip explains in the profile, “Something terrible has happened to the people who come to us. Their lives have been made worse; our job it to make them better. For the most part, we’re able to do that.”
Skip’s first book, A Dime to Dance By, was published in 1983 and earned him honors from the Commonwealth Club of California for best first novel, as well as critical acclaim in The Boston Globe and The New Yorker.
Keep your eyes open for Skip’s next book, Almost All American.
